How to modify/increase swap memory in HP-UX

Login to UNIX with “root” user.

Enter command “smh”.

Go to “Kernel Configuration”.

Go to “Tunables”.

It displays the list of parameters.

Search for “swchunk”  in list of tunables.

Click “m” to modify the swap value.

Enter the new value and reason for change and click on modify. The swap memory can be modified based on our requirement.

Manual page for “swchunk” command go to “man swchunk”. Will display the detail manual for the tunable parameter swchunk.
